Nowadays everyone could pick (for example) a pen, bring to it a personal meant and then classify like conceptual art. What take me to write this, is a discussion about vexel art.
We call it vexel art but is it really an art ? My personal opinion about vexelling is that we can't call it art cause when we pick a photo and then trace shapes on it, the result is that you have the same picture using an interesting techinque that could be different from person to person.
I would precisate that i like a lot vexelling in fact i'm tryng to make even better!
But everyone could make a vexel art in fact when i'm tired and i dont have idea for some digital works, i make vexel cause u won't think at the idea of the pictures but u will only choose the right photo, choose how realistic u want to make it and then go to tracing shapes. Thats all! That's why i call it technique and not define it like a real art. Anyways i think that we can call it art in a way to let the people understand that is an art used for the digital pictures like the vector art, in fact the word "vexel" is from "vector" and "pixel". Sincerely i know that ever will be a lot of people that are hating me for what i have just written.
